Conquering Greenhills.. :D

I was with Wilma and Francois this morning and we were out to Greenhills looking for a similar Rolex, Francois has in his arms. He said, he wanted to use it instead of the original so it won't easily wear out. [ By the way, his Rolex watch cost him more or less, $10,000 and if converted into peso, that's half a million! :o ] Anyways.. So we were there. Stalking on each of the interesting booth that we could find. We at least, checked on three (3) stores.

The tindera of the second store got a bit disappointed that we did not buy her watches after she made efforts of showing us all her rolex watches. Hahaha! She even gave us a low price. But she didn't have the exact model Francois had. What could we do about that? Buti na lang di ako hayblad kanina, I could have make hila her ngusong mahaba!!!! Psssss.. What an ale.. Pakain ko sa kaniya relo niya eh.. Ngusuan ba daw kami??!! Leeeeer..

Anyways.. So we continue with our search for the watch.. And we came to one booth (this time with a bading na tindero). Oh my ghas! He's really a seller! Did try so hard to sell his products in english. As in.. "Wow pareeeee.. Engliiiiishhhh.." Kat nahihirapan siya, he did try. Well kudos for him! ^_^

Then here's my part.. I asked him how much is he selling the watches Francois has picked. He said, "Ma'm, usually P2,500.00 po yan, ibigay ko po sa inyo ng P2,000.00.." Then I gave him a darting look which says "Oh no, you can't fool me around with this.." He was slightly abacked with my quick stare, then I finally said "Hindi namin siya kukuhanin for that price. That's too much! Somebody's offering us the same items for a much, much lower price." Then I stopped waiting for him to respond and make a new offer, but he just kept silent for a while then almost said in a whisper, "Yun po talaga ang presyo namin sa Rolex, Ma'm." Then I said with a heavy stare on his now inquiring eyes, "You give this to me at P900, we'll take two." He was abacked, went pale, few seconds passed, then he gave in, he gave the watches at P900 each. O ha? So Francois got his watches at P1,800.00. He saved P3,200.00! And that's 64% of the proposed price.

Hihi! Bargaining is fun isn't it? ^_^

Then Francois asked about what happened because he did not understand a single word from our conversation. :D I just asked him to give P1,8k and he said "Ok." So, while I was telling him the story while we walk again, he said: "Wow! You are amazing! How did you do that?! Though, I did notice he went pale during your conversation with him but I didn't know you bargained with so low a price that's why his blood drained from his body!" And I was laughing with his comments. Then he jokingly said: "You know, you're a dangerous person. I must not come anywhere near you. You're a people-reader!" Though, I really didn't exactly understand why he used the term "people-reader" in connection with my bargaining powers.. Well anyway, at the last, he said: "You should always come with me when I shop. You'll be very helpful. I'm sure about that."

Hehe.. So there. I got another fan for my bargaining skills! Hahaha! :p

And because he enjoyed shopping that morning, and he liked his Sizzling Kangkong very much at Gerry's Grill, he did pay for our lunch. We were supposed to be the ones to settle that, since he's the client, he's the guest, but he did insist. He didn't even wait for the staff to come over. He approached one of them and asked for the receipt just to dim our chances of paying the meal.

Soooo.. it ends up well. He's happy and we're vibrant knowing that we were able to help him that morning! ^_^
